Ngorongoro Crater
Maono Conservation and Kopelion have partnered to positively impact the relationship between the local Maasai people and the regional lion population in Tanzania.
We are developing educational media projects that focus on the importance of lions to the economy and ecosystem, and effective methods of deterring lion predation on livestock.
Local community members will present these programs to increase awareness of lions' vital role in the area. Additionally, Maono will utilize local creatives and devote time to mentoring in media production.
Our partnership in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area ensures critical knowledge and training is used thoroughly in the region and is a viable model for lion conservation in other areas.

Uganda National Parks
Maono Conservation is collaborating closely with the Uganda Conservation Foundation to develop educational initiatives that highlight the successes achieved through the rehabilitation of several national parks in Uganda. These endeavors have resulted in improved wildlife habitats, reduced poaching, and illegal wildlife activities.
Additionally, we have partnered on several community development projects, including reducing conflict from elephants eating crops and working with local authorities to minimize wildlife crime. We have also created programs for local schools to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the importance of natural resources.
UCF utilizes these programs in schools, ranger training, mobile presentations, and local community centers. This collaboration is an excellent example of future partnerships in other countries.
